Setting
From the orderly suburb of Istera to Namera, a metropolitan neighborhood famous for its park, modern life unfolds amid Bronze Age Mediterranean architecture. Namera changes too quickly for a lasting community to form—until Ara moves in. Around her apartment and a favorite pizza joint, familiar faces begin returning, new routines take hold, and Ara and Oswikar discover somewhere worth staying.
Plot
Ara Telan wants a life that keeps surprising her. Oswikar wants one that will still be there tomorrow. As they make a home and a community in Namera, everyday discoveries draw them into a romance neither expected. But when adventure calls Ara beyond the neighborhood, their different dreams put that life together to the test. To build a lasting relationship, they must discover how to welcome change without losing what they love.
Cast
Ara Telan. Ara Telan grew up in Istera, where life seemed incapable of changing. Curious, restless, and afraid of missing everything the world has to offer, she moves to Namera determined to reinvent herself. She pursues new tastes, a new appearance, and a magical tattoo like Oswikar’s —but finds herself growing attached to familiar places and people. Ara must learn that choosing a lasting life doesn’t mean giving up discovery, and that someone she knows can still surprise her.
Oswikar Haldenrath. Oswikar is a resourceful guide to Namera whose tattoos change as constantly as his circumstances. Skilled at finding temporary work, food, and shelter, he seems to Ara like someone with perfect freedom. In truth, after losing home after home to fire, he believes he destroys everything he tries to keep. He longs for a lasting home but fears that staying will endanger the fresh start Ara is building. With her, familiar meals, uneventful nights, and somewhere safe to return to begin to feel possible.
