How the artwork on this site is made and identified.
Illustrations
Character portraits, book and project banner illustrations, and world illustrations made with generative AI carry a small “AI” indicator. These images are temporary visual references, with commissioned artwork planned to replace them.
The indicator identifies how an illustration was made. These illustrations show the work in development; artist credits appear alongside commissioned artwork.
Artist credits
A signature icon identifies human-created artwork. Hover or focus to see the artist’s name, or select it to open the full credit and available artist links. Credits belong to each image, including maps.
Decorative treatments
Some decorative textures and splashes also use generated imagery. These support the site's visual design rather than depict a character or scene, so they do not carry individual AI indicators. Masks, color washes and typography are presentation treatments, not separate illustrations.
